Malindi town hosts one of the oldest European monuments in Africa, “The Vasco Da Gama Pillar” built in 1948, to give the Portuguese sailing directions to India. Malindi town is situated 115km from Mombasa town, it has idyllic beaches with lots of coconut palms vegetation. Each year the town holds “Annual Cultural Festival” to showcase it diverse, unique, Swahili culture. Its annual temperature is 26C, serened with white sandy beaches, glittery sea shells, coral reefs, green vegetation one is able to get the sight of the pounding waves. The town boasts itself for its exceptional deep sea fishing activity.
The Healthcare Experience
We have established a strong partnership with the Malindi District Hospital that serves a large population majorly Lamu and the larger Kilifi Division. The hospital setting is very busy posing a rare opportunity for extensive hands on experience in any healthcare elective as well as a pre-health shadowing experience. Malindi is also known as the little Italian city due to the many Italians who reside and have invested in this coastal town.
