Engaging, Challenging, Educational and Enjoyable

This has been the standout moment of my entire nursing program and I feel no other part of my training has been as engaging, as challenging, as educational or as enjoyable. I loved it

My main reason for choosing Kenya was due to the resonance of the name Kenya and what its known for especially Olympics and the language Swahili. I was inspired to come to Kenya by the Vice Chancellor of my school called Christopher Wanyonyi who is Kenyan.

I am a Better Person

An Incredible and Knowledgeable Experience

During my 3 weeks in Mombasa, Kenya, I learned so much about the healthcare systems and lifestyles. I was warmly welcomed by Benson and brought to where I would be staying. If I had any questions or concerns, Benson was there. I had 3 meals per day and laundry done twice a week which was efficient. At the hospital, I was able to witness live births, learn about the childhood diseases and help draw blood. This Experience was Wonderful

This experience was wonderful. I am so glad that I came here. I loved every minute at Mt Meru and feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from such naturally gifted doctors. I Enjoyed my time with Elective Africa

Overall I enjoyed my time with Elective Africa. I got a lot of hands-on experience I was looking for in OB/GYN. One of the best parts about EA is the cultural enrichment provided such as Swahili Lessons and trips to local markets and waterfalls. The safari was fantastic as well. I would recommend EA to others looking to experience a new country and culture while enriching their medical skills and knowledge.

This was a Great Experience

This was a great experience. I was not sure what to expect but this program exceeded my expectations. At the hospital, everyone was helpful and even though there was a language barrier at times, I still feel like I received a lot of helpful information about different diseases and conditions. I met people from many areas of the world. Our coordinators tried the best to make us as comfortable as possible. They were there for us when we needed them. I have many memories, pictures and stories to take home with me.

I Definitely Recommend this Program

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Levolosi Health Centre in Arusha, Tanzania. I got to help with various activities at the hospital and learn from the medical proffesionals through guided activities during my 2 weeks stay. I also saw plenty of diseases I had never seen before. All the doctors and nurses were friendly and kindly answered all the questions I had. I definitely recommend this program.
