Elective Africa facilitates structured elective placements for medical and other healthcare students abroad.

For over 12 years we have worked with community health centers and teaching and non teaching hospitals in Africa. We provide our participants with a rare opportunity for hands-on learning experience in low resource settings, cultural exchange, and medical volunteer service in Africa. We work with doctors from the different locations where we operate to ensure suitable placements for our students.

We organize student placements for Medical, Nursing, Midwifery, Dental, Surgery, Physician Assistants, Public Health, Premedical and New Doctor and Residents programs. We have also successfully facilitated setting up mobile medical camps in Mombasa for different groups which involves medical volunteering by both the local doctors from the hospitals we work with and our medical students.

Placements range from Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dentistry, Radiology, Surgery and Emergency care among others.             

We currently run programs in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Malawi.
