I Found Myself Not Wanting to Leave

My experience here in Mombasa at Coast Provincial General Hospital is something that I will always cherish. I got to experience medicine in a different light which has allowed me to grow in the right direction over these last few weeks. 

Throughout my time at the hospital, I got to observe different procedures in different departments in addition to simple observation, I also got the chance to gain some hands-on experience under supervision from different doctors and nurses who were all very friendly and eager to teach. I never felt y time at the hospital was wasted but instead found myself not wanting to leave because of the many interesting cases and warm learning environment. 

Apart from the time spent at the hospital, I also got the opportunity to explore the city of Mombasa, various beaches, and parks including a safari trip to the Tsavo National Park. Overall, the program was well organized and this was certainly a life-changing experience. Thank you to everyone from Elective Africa that made this experience enjoyable. Asante Sana!
