A team of 11 students comprises of Premed, Pre Nursing and Volunteering students from Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada participated in the Elective Africa program during summer. The team is headed by Siobhan Brenton the current president of the MUNHOPE -a student association within the University. The group volunteered at the Migori District Hospital in Migori, Kenya. Passionate about bringing a wholesome change in the community, they - not only volunteered in the hospital but also took part in the community projects, such as tree planting, rescue operations with the Red Cross during floods, peer educations and teaching at the local school.
