Alex is a registered nurse at the Alfred Hospital in Australia, she is also an Alumni of Deakin University. Alex participated in the Elective Africa's Nursing program in July 2013. She rotated under the Emergency department at the Migori District Hospital in Migori, Kenya our rural location. Alex states that her experience at Elective Africa was beyond what she could have imagined. Her nerves before arrival subsided the minute she was greeted at the airport by an Elective Africa staff. She goes on to say that she got the opportunity to do things she would never have gotten the chance to do in Australia.
